Bald Eagles
Saturday was a good day. I was out and about with fellow photographer Fa'auma Jerome scouting locations for future portrait photos. We landed in Jaunita Bay, at a park along the water. Walking towards the water along the boardwalk we spotted two bald eagles. I had never seen bald eagles in the wild (yes, I am the ONE), so I quickly slapped on my longest lens and started snapping away. We really wanted to capture the eagles in flight so we waited... and waited... and waited. All of a sudden they took off. Lucky for us one of them returned a short time later to grab a fish. Below are a couple of the photos I got.
I was ill equiped for shooting these Eagles. The lens I had on me was not long enough, but was still able to capture a great moment. It was really majestic. Although I shoot portraits and events, it was fun to photograph wildlife. Something I've never really done. In the end, we were there for about an hour and a half. Our time spent was not fruitless... :)
